Founded and operated by Marine Corps veteran, Josh Kaeter, Eminent was “born from a love of exceptional coffee and an insatiable curiosity to understand its creation.” Josh’s path in coffee started with a necessity to stay awake while on deployments to Afghanistan, shaped by learning how to roast, and solidified while visiting a coffee farm in Panama and making his first real “Direct Trade Purchase,” while fostering a connection to that producer. “In that moment, I knew this was my path, to share beautiful coffees and the stories of who grew them.”

As a skilled coffee roaster, Josh is dedicated to fostering transparency and bridging the gap between consumers and the origins of their coffee. “This journey is about bringing my coffee experiences to others—the local community and, hopefully, the greater world. Through education, meaningful conversations, and a drive for constant improvement, I aim to share outstanding coffees that carry a story, while ensuring the producers behind these remarkable beans receive not only fair compensation but also the recognition and appreciation they deserve.”
